I love to write out my thoughts for some reason. Today I wanted to share some things about life.
It's so crazy how my life has been brought up. The people I've met, the places I've been; it's just all so insane how it works itself out.
But besides that, I really have never posted or said anything about my last relationship(ended technically a year ago) but was off and on until November/early December of 2017. I thought I should write about it because I mean...why not?
I always had these intense, dramatic, hateful, loving, sad, pitiful feelings towards that whole breakup. Now that I think about it, it's kind of hard to remember exactly how everything really went about. I usually remembered every detail, fight, laugh, cry, or conversation me and him ever had. It wasn't so much of a good thing because my thoughts were tearing me apart from the inside-out. But one thing I've discovered about myself is that when any mentally painful event happens to me, I eventually forget about it.
Literally. Kind of weird I know. Maybe I just block it out, so I don't have to deal with any pain.
I don't hold onto grudges for that long; especially when I forgive myself and the person involved. I feel like once I forgive the people in the event, the whole thing leaves my head.
So bare with me as I try to remember exactly everything that happened. I guess one thing I CAN for sure remember are the feelings I felt when I was with him.
But to make this story better I'm going to use a name for me and my ex....aanndd everyone else involved in this story.
My name: Sally
Ex's name: Jared
This story is a very interesting, basic, breakup. Don't expect anything insane lol so here it goes.
Sally met Jared one night when her friend(Becca) from work invited her over to hang out. He didn't talk to Sally much because he knew every other guy in the room was trying to get her attention. He was very conceited and didn't want to beg for her time, but Sally was no ditsy girl. She saw Jared and could feel his beaming "confidence" and knew exactly what game he was trying to play. You might have heard of it before; it's known as "The Chase" aka "Hard to Get". Anyways, Sally thought she could play along and NOT do what the common Utah girl would do. She ignored him. She gave absolutely zero attention, but smiled and stayed polite. She flirted with the other guys in the room, but would occasionally give Jared the "side eye" while talking with another guy.
Long story short, the friend that invited Sally over originally(Becca) made a bet with Jared. She bet 50 bucks that Jared wouldn't try to kiss Sally for a month. He agreed.
But first, let me tell you a little about Jared. He is a very confident, attractive, entrepreneur that was used to getting girls like it's nothing. They literally flocked to him. His MOM even admitted it later on. He got girls left and right!
exceppppttttt...there suddenly was this girl aka Sally.
Sally is a very confident, sassy, and intelligent girl that could read men like the back of her hand. She loves a good challenge and she doesn't like "cocky" men. BUT Sally is a tease. She loves to tease guys. It's actually kind of sickening, but ehh whatcha gonna do? Gotta keep life interesting, right?
So back to the story.
Eventually these two became friends, and they always wanted to see each other more often, but Sally was too independent and is REALLY good at playing "the chase". She wanted to flip it and have Jared come after her instead of doing what most girls would do, which is chase Jared, having a solid makeout, then never hear from him again. (Which Jared did to most girls)
.....
(By the way I'm not saying Jared is this terrible guy. He would've done what any normal guy would've done. These girls just need to gain some self-confidence and stop letting people take advantage of them and letting guys use them for their own selfish needs)
.....
Anyways, Sally was driving home from work one day and got a flat tire. She called her friends and none of them knew how to help/ didn't have the right tools to help their bff out. LUCKILY, since Sally love's the game and Jared lived close, she called him instead. He literally stopped what he was doing, cancelled his plans, and hurried over to help Sally. Little did they know, her car needed a special key to change out the bolts to her tire. They eventually found it in the glove department of the car and right as Jared is feeling confident, he BREAKS the key. Yes, breaks it. By this time it was 10 o'clock and all the stores that had the key were closed. So guess what? Jared tells Sally that she can stay at his house for the night and he'll take her to get a new key in the morning.
Sally, being the smart girl she is, has 2 choices. Sleep on the couch or share Jared's bed. (by the way both of them were already SUPER attracted to each other, but were both too stubborn to do anything about it). So she slept on the couch and in the morning, got ready, had her friend pick her up, and went on to do the whole key situation.
Jared then asked Sally on a date. She said yes.
After the date, they still didn't kiss(the bet) but they cuddled for a bit and she then would leave for the night. (by the way Becca told Sally about the bet, so she could use it to her advantage).
Jared asked Sally on another date and she politely said, "no". Jared FREAKED. "What did I do wrong? Why won't you go on another date with me? This doesn't make sense!". She calmly explained that she just wasn't about it and completely shattered Jared's ego.
She went over to his house again(invited by one of the other guys at the house because they were all homies now) and Jared stopped talking to her. He completely shut her out, and she was fine with it. For a little while at least.
Bothered by Jared's absence, Sally felt a regret saying no to the second date. BTW she has never regretted saying no to someone before then.
She went up to his room one night and told him she regretted saying no to him and wanted to go on another date. Jared was happy as ever and they went on to go see Christmas lights. After that date, they watched a movie and ended up cuddling/talking and not paying attention to the movie whatsoever. That night was the same night they kissed for the first time. It wasn't forced, and it wasn't initiated by one or the other. It was one of the most electrifying feelings of all time. Something that neither one of them had ever experienced. It was almost as if fate brought these two human beings together at the perfect timing. IT WAS SO WEIRD.
Anyways, they started dating and Jared's roommates began to tell Sally how whooped she's got Jared. He was absolutely smitten by this girl.
Months passed, and fights began to break out. A lot of hurtful things were said (on both ends) and Sally stopped feeling loved by Jared. She was the one who put aside everything for him. She put her goals, dreams, hobbies, etc aside to make sure HE would get ahead in life and to make sure HE was happy. She stopped habits that he didn't like and she was compromising her own personality to fit exactly what he wanted. She wanted to be the perfect girlfriend.
After a while they started fighting and then would sweep all their problems under a rug and would act like everything was okay. That is, at least, until another fight would break out and all the things under the rug would come out again. Sally started to feel depressed, and would cry multiple times throughout the week because she hated the person she was becoming. Her free-spirited self was leaving fast, and it scared her. One night she went to her parents house and was crying to her mom, and the thing that Sally's mom said that stuck out to her the most was, "I don't need to say what you should do because you already know what you need to do."
Sally got up that second, texted Jared, went to his house and broke up with him.
#RUTHLESS
That was literally the worst day of his life. He got fired from his job, car broken down, denied by an event venue for his company, then broken up with by his girlfriend.
Sally cried. and cried. and cried. She literally felt like she couldn't stop crying for weeks. One day she woke up and felt this relief off her shoulders. She finally felt the sense of freedom and felt invincible.
Jared tried to get Sally back, but when he saw her again she was happy and told him no.(obviously cried again after that because she still loved him).
After a few months they tried to be friends, but we all know how THAT goes.
didn't work. they got back together(kinda)
then she left and moved out of the country in November. After a month she got an overwhelming feeling that she needed to take him out of her life if she was ever going to move forward.
So that's what she did.
AND HERE WE ARE
After months, he has tried to communicate, but alas, Sally isn't falling for it.
She moved on. Then met someone else.
I know what you're thinking. "UGH SALLY 3 MONTHS AND YOU MOVED ON COMPLETELY FORGETTING THIS GUY YOU WERE IN LOVE WITH??!"
yes.
"THEN WHO IS THIS NEW GUY? WHY IS HE SO SPECIAL?"
Let me tell you.
This guy(we'll call him Jonny) was different(yes I know everyone ALWAYS says that). He wasn't cocky, but he had a silent confidence within himself. He was one of the most selfless people she'd ever met. He was caring, and he was REALLY good at talking(almost annoying if you ask me). But it really surprised Sally. She knew that he was a sassy/funny guy who could easily tear anyone apart verbally in 0.2 seconds. His personality was intriguing. I don't know what it was about him, but when you're with him he's just so real with you. I guess you could say it's refreshing lol
BUT, the thing about Jonny is that he was in a complicated marriage. Yes, marriage.
I literally cringe at the sound of that. I had no right to come into a married guys life and mess shit up. Thankfully Jonny had to leave back to the states. (Thank goodness) I honestly have no idea what could've sparked up.
But we kept talking, and eventually he was telling me a bunch of his life stories, and how his marriage was struggling, and how I was almost an escape.
UGH YOU GUYS. I hate writing this because I'm saying it out loud and I'm disgusted by this.
Anyways, I knew I had to stop talking to him. He called me one weekend when he was out with his friends drinking and I asked him why he was calling me. All he said was, "I don't know! I just want to talk to you.". I then told him I had to go, and that I'd talk to him later.
We haven't talked since.
Every time I find a new song I want to show him, or text him something funny I get a feeling not to. I feel like he really needs to work on his marriage because I know his wife absolutely loves him, and I have no business getting in the middle of that.
I know I don't have feelings, or whatever you want to call it, for him anymore, but if he wasn't married I know we'd be close as ever.
KINDA SHITTY how that happens.
But now, I feel the need to be by myself for awhile. I'm excited to go back to Utah and have my life back. LIFE IS GOOD IF YOU WANT IT TO BE.
Just strange how certain people come into your life at the most random times.
So there's my story.
Hope it makes sense.
